Havelock - Transport to the Opening Ceremony

Bill, his wife Inez and daughter Beth, were transported from the school to the site in a 1931 Ford Phaeton. Stan, my cousin, was the pharmacist in Havelock, owned the car and drove it on the day. I had been aiming for a car of the period when Bill was at Havelock (1914-1927) but there were none available locally.

The "Welcome home Sir William" sign was a nice surprise for Bill.
