My Comments on This Book.
This is report number three of the AIP's
National Catalogue of Sources for the History of Physics. Larry Badash
produced this catalogue of all the then known letters to and from
Rutherford in 1974, apart from some involving Kapitza which were
regarded as politically sensitive at the time and others which were with
the family. The majority of the catalogued letters are in the
Rutherford College, Cambridge University Library but others are from
other repositories such as the Bohr Institute, Copenhagen.
Many other repositories of Rutherford
correspondence have been located since this pioneering work.
It would be appropriate to have an update leading into the centennial
of Rutherford's Nobel Prize.
